Getting people to read your blog is hard. It takes work, but it begins (as I wrote about on my other blog: “How to Get People to Read Your Blog“) with showing interest in others. I don’t care who you are — that’s counter-cultural. Putting others before yourself does not come naturally to most of us, but it’s a good idea — both morally, as well as pragmatically.
But how do you get people keep reading your blog? Well, in a capricious webscape, it’s hard to hold people’s attention for too long.
In many ways, social media and Web 2.0 has actually trained people to have shorter attention spans. So, once you get people to read your blog, you have to fight to keep them.
Here are a few tips (that I stole from others) that might help:
Brand your blog. Use a custom template or memorable site layout to stay at the front of visitors’ minds.
Provide fresh content and be available to your readers. Most successes in life are contingent on at least some form of relationship.
Make sure humans (not robots) are reading your blog. Call people to action, and see who responds. Vet them, if necessary.
Create a strategy for getting people to your blog and keeping them that includes positioning, quality content, and incentives to keep reading.

Hi, Good post about Twitter. I think Twitter is going to be one of the stronger networks because of the fact that it is supported by so many industries. I also think when Twitter shows some of it’s new functions, returning traffic will increase to show the real growth of the network. Keep up the great work!
