Most good writing, I’ve found, is a result of practice (and a lot of rewriting). I like what author of the book Cold Tangerines, Shauna Niequist, says in this blog post about the discipline of writing. I couldn’t have said it better myself.

Every writer has something that they love to write about – a passion that drives them, a favorite subject that fascinates them. I think that I like writing anecdotal stories that call to action.
