I just wrote a new eBook, called Dirty Redemption: Stories of Unexpected Grace Found in Unlikely Places.
It's a collection of 10, short stories from my life — mostly about my experience as a missionary overseas and in Nashville. It's nearly 10,000 words about some of my favorite tales of this beautiful mess we call redemption.
And you can get a free copy of it… if you're willing to be generous.
What you need to do
Make a donation HERE (any amount you want) to the nonprofit Adventures in Missions, and then email me at jeff(at)goinswriter(dot)com with the donation receipt.
When I hear from you, I will send you the PDF of the eBook for free. No questions asked, no other payment necessary, no email signups or other trickery involved.
Why I'm asking you to do this
Our nonprofit organization requires its staff to raise a portion of their salaries to help offset overhead costs.
By making a tax-deductible donation on my behalf, you're helping me continue to serve with this organization and keep blogging, helping people like you, and telling stories that matter.
I thought that instead of just asking for money, I'd write a book of stories, describing my work, and then encourage donations by giving it away.
Now is a great time to get in those donations (and still get a write-off). If you want to know more about what I do for Adventures in Missions, check out my staff blog.
Here's a sneak peek of the book
This is the longest eBook to date I've written. It's taken me weeks to compile and lay out. (The design is simple, but kind of nostalgic.)
Like I said, the book consists of 10 stories from my life, all of which revolve around the theme of redemption. Here's the table of contents:
- Meeting Jesus on the Street
- Everyday Heroes: George
- Mariano, the Paralytic
- Pools of Blood
- Hotdogs & Homeless Parties
- Somebody Stole My Baby Jesus
- See You in Heaven
- The Yard Sale
- Amazing Grace (How Sour the Smell)
- Our Daily Bread
Most of these stories happen in the context of struggles with poverty, homelessness, and debilitating disease, which take place in Mexico or Nashville, Tennessee.
NOTE: Many stories include spiritual reflections and references to God or my faith as a Christian. If this offends or just doesn't interest you, then this book may not be for you. (And I am totally cool with that.)
